Is it about time for a female presenter duo

Strictly Come Dancing is about to return for its next series, but this time there will be a distinct difference. No Brucie. The show will be presented by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. I had not realised until reading an article in the Radio Times that this was going to be the first time for there ever to be an all female duo team presenting on television (apart for the times when Claudia stood in for Bruce Forsyth temporarily). I was actually quite shocked that it has taken this long. Do you think it is about time, and why do you think it has never happened before? Are you looking forward to Tess and Claudia co-presenting the entire series together?
