How many TV shows can you think of with a young female protagonist

While there are lots of shows for children and teenagers with a male hero or an ensemble cast, there don't seem to be as many tv shows with a girl (as opposed to a grown woman) as the main character. One that springs to mind for me is the British teen drama/comedy Sugar Rush. How many tv shows like that can you think of? Which would you recommend?
