FXs The Strain is coming next month but will another vampire show fly

There have been a lot of vampire shows over the past oh…ten or so years. Most notably are True blood which is just wrapping up this year and Vampire Diaries which is still going strong into season six. Now FX is taking a much grittier, perhaps more traditional, take vampires in their new series The Strain. The series is co-written by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, and has executive producer Carlton Cuse (who worked both Lost and Nash Bridges) on board too. The series itself looks creepy and professes to be gory at times. Here’s the trailer, take a look, and let me know what you think.
