No TV at all during the day, unless it is the weekend. My husband will turn it on at 6pm to watch the news. After that, it goes off again while we eat dinner and I do the bedtime routine with my youngest son. Once he's asleep the TV will go on again for hubby and my teens if there's something on they want to watch or we may watch a couple of sitcom reruns together for an hour or so. I prefer reading a book in the evening rather than watching TV.
I sometimes watch TV during the day, but not often. If I do, it's lifestyle-type TV all the way. Mostly renovation shows with the occasional cooking show tossed in. I like watching TV in the evenings. I find it's a great way to wind down the day. My evening TV habits usually consist of story-based fictional shows unless The Block is airing, then you can guarantee I'm watching that instead.
Usually 5.30 and it stays on till way past midnight however, because I generally don't work during the day, I sometimes watch some Foxtel shows like Murder she Wrote. I cant stand all those day time talk shows that's for sure.
Mine goes on around 6.45 a.m. as I like to watch Sunrise. I prefer their news breaks, then get up and go about my chores, read, do email but have the TV in the lounge room on for company even if I'm not in there, I can hear it. My husband watches in the morning after his gardening and watches his external drive full of movies and series he prefers to watch so it's rarely off..
