Pretty much every show takes a break around Christmas. In fact most have a build-up to the holidays, ending on a cliffhanger. The term is a mid-season finale and every show with a full 20 episodes seems to be doing it. Even The Walking Dead, with only 13 episodes a year, has a mid-season finale and is taking a 2 month break over the holidays. Is there a show that left you gnashing your fingers wondering what was going to happen next? Which show are you looking forward to returning?
I love Homeland and also loved the original Israeli version of this show (cannot remember the name) which never came back on after the first series ended.
There is another Australian show called Place like Home or some such which they had axed but which is now continuing, but Homeland is the one I would most look forward to.
There are several others that I like and have finished (as have almost ALL shows this time of year) however they are just continuing and each story is a story in itself -e.g. The Good Wife.
I cannot remember the Walking Dead even though I think I watched it!
The Walking Dead is high on my list. This season has been a huge improvement over the past couple. But I'm looking forward to Arrow above all others. I can't wait to see the story arc the show takes which will allow him to survive his fight with Ra's.
3rd series of the Bridge. Hope it's as good as the previous 2. Same with Happy Valley, I've read there will be a 2nd series. Hopefully a good Australian series as well.
We don't watch American tv. (HBO did have some exceptions). Prefer tv where the people aren't cookie cutters and the answer to everything is with a gun. P'raps we're missing out on something, don't think so tho.
I'm looking forward to Orphan Black. It was the big surprise for me last year. Also I'm looking forward to more of The Walking Dead and my guilty pleasure - Z Nation. The Returned, The Leftovers and In the Flesh are all shows I'd like to see return too.
