Clangers was a British children's TV series that ran from 1969 - 1972/1974. It was about a family of pink mouse-like creature on a moon-like planet.

Recently the original creators have renewed the series, and the show is airing on CBeebies. Unlike a lot of remakes that face the conversion to CGI, they have remained true and kept to stop-motion animation using knitted puppets.

What are your thoughts? Did you see the original series? Have you seen the new one? Do you have children that enjoy it?

I only saw bits of the original Clangers, but I still have a great fondness for it. I am always very worried when remakes come along, but they have stayed so faithful that it is brilliant and I love the new series. I am also glad that this generation of children can see what great shows used to be like.
I'm surprised more UK people haven't answered your question Bryony. I don't think it made it all this way to Australia!

No, iíve never heard of this t.v. show. Was it ever shown in Australia?

I don't know to be honest. It was a major hit in the UK, but whether there was an audience outside, I don't know.
