After 13 years as the host of the popular British comedy panel show QI, Stephen Fry is stepping down. He will be replaced by Sandi Toksvig, joint founder of the Women's Equality Party and former host of the Channel 4 game show Fifteen to One.

If you're a fan of the show, will you be sorry to see Stephen Fry go, or do you welcome the change?

I heard this on the radio the other day. QI is amusing and Sandi Toskvig is brilliant and will be a refreshing change from Stephen Fry. I found the schoolboy/toilet hurmour between Stephen and Alan a bit tiresome, so the change will be wonderful.
This is the first I have heard of the news. When I read the title question I was sad because Stephen Fry is brilliant. When you said Sandy Toksvig would be taking over, however, I got excited because she is also brilliant. As she has been a panellist on the show before, I know she will be great at the role. Maybe it will be a chance to see Stephen in something else.
QI is funny but the lack of female guests on the show had begun to really bother me. Having a female host will change things up a bit and Sandi Toksvig is cool.
Oh, a female host, eh? I will be checking this out.

Not happy, Jan!! Stephen Fry is the perfect man for this host position.
He is funny, irreverent, a genius, a fast wit, knows how to get the best from his team, laughs at himself, and appears to be "made" for this job, amongst all his other exhausting activities and responsibilities. It will be very difficult to replace Stephen Fry.
I was disappointed to hear he was leaving. I am not sure what it will be like with Sandy in his place, but will wait and see.
I don't think she will be as good as Stephen. Stephen and Alan owned that show, the two of them played beautifully of each other. Stephen will be dearly missed. I wish Sandy the best of luck and I look forward to see what she does with the show
A change can be good, I just hope we see Stephen Fry in something else.
He has many talents and so it will be interesting to see what he chooses for the future?
Waiting in anticipation.

Didn't know he was!
Don't know of his replacement; not seen her before.
Will give it a go.
I was very sad as he is great. However, I think Sandi is great and I am looking forward to a different dynamic. She has a very quick wit so I think it will be just as much fun as ever.

We used to watch it for the 1st 6 or so years, then we got tired of it. Stephen was very good though, The only thing that annoyed me about Stephen was his scoring at the end of each game.I just couldn't get that!!! I hope we'll be seeing a lot more of Stephen in documentaries, TV series & or thrillers, or perhaps he'll be playing a part in stage shows!
