I've only seen the first two seasons but I like it. I've read the comics (well, a fair few of them) and the show is pretty different but good in it's own right. It's so unsual to find an adaptation of a book that's actually as good as the original.
I hate this show. So does my dad. Whenever we see it on, all that is happening is people shooting up zombies. It's the same thing all the time. We just turn over.
I haven't gotten into the walking dead - I think I missed the boat somehow, and am afraid that if I start now I'll get hooked and have to buy all the DVD boxsets then watch them all at once. From what I have seen, I think the show killing off some of its key characters (although not great for the characters and their actors) adds to unpredictability of the show, and keeps viewers on their toes.
I've been into this show since the beginning. I loved the first season and although I really enjoyed the following seasons, I didn't feel they had the same impact or suspense as the first one. I also understand how The Walking Dead is not for everyone.
I disagree with Bryony - there isn't enough zombie fights - It's little short of a Soap Opera. There was one episode in the second season where there was ONE zombie in the whole show. I read the comics, which really push the 'what would you do if there were no longer rules of society' barrow. I find the tv show a little too sanitised and they've taken out the moral ambiguity. It just the good guys are good.
Third season was just a big yawnfest - that said, I guess we'll watch the 4th on dvd because there is a big nothing else to watch. We are on a scout for some new series to get into...

I think I've been living under a rock - haven't seen an episode yet.
You have to have watched this from the start. To me it is as addictive as SoA. It is a great series and the special effects are equivalent to any Hoolywood Blockbuster.
My daughter and I love watching the walking dead we are addicted and can't wait for the series to start again. We think it should be on more that once a week!
Yes I am totally addicted! I took me a few goes to watch the first episode. I kept getting scared and chickening out. Now I'm hooked and up to date with the latest episodes.
No, I've never seen it.
