The Lizzie Borden Chronicles is a series starring Christina Ricci and Clea Duvall. It is a fictionalised account of events in the life of Lizzie Borden, who was tried for and acquitted of the murders of her father and stepmother in 1892. The series is a continuation of the 2014 Movie Lizzie Borden Took an Ax. It first aired on the Lifetime channel and is currently streaming on Netflix. Have you seen the show? If so, what did you think of it?

I was intrigued by the fact that the show wasn't about the murders and the trial, but about the sisters' lives after Lizzie was acquitted. It seemed like an interesting premise but the show wasn't quite what expected. It's quite camp and a little silly in parts, and (minor spoiler)- there is no mystery about whether Lizzie is a murderer, and she kills not only to protect herself and her family, but it seems just because she can. I wanted to like it but I don't think it's really my thing. I do like the pretty costumes, and Clea Duvall is always good.
Another one I have not heard of!
