Comedy (101)      Sitcom (30)      Sitcom Comp (12)
Sitcoms are usually topically, focussing on what is current at the time. This makes the sitcoms of today quite different from the ones running ten or more years ago. Which do you prefer?

old, new

My favourite decade for sitcoms is the 90s. I also like sitcoms from the 60s and 70s, but I prefer some of the sitcoms that are on today to the ones in the 80s.
Old sitcoms have a quality about them that makes them stand out for me. Although I like some of the current ones, I prefer the older ones. They were somehow more down-to-earth.

I prefer the old ones generally as new ones seem to be all so very similar.

Of course there are exceptions to this, and I far prefer UK ones to the US ones.

The old ones are somehow more believable in a lot of cases whereas nowadays they are often "far fetched" so to speak.

I think quality shows stand out, no matter their generation. I prefer those made in the 90s and those made in this decade. Maybe it's because I just wasn't watching sitcoms much, but I can't remember many, if any, from the 2000s that I really liked.
Old are to me just that.

I like in the 1990's best.
Definitely old. I love TVland and the old stuff they show, even black and whites. Too much smut for my taste
