TVode is happy to announce a change in the way we run our competitions. We will continue to host two competitions each month, one starting at the beginning of the month and the other starting mid-month with each running the length of the month.
The size of the award presented to the winner or winners will depend on how many questions are entered. The more questions entered, the larger the prize(s).
The prizes will continue to be based on the question or questions with the most views. Here is how it will break down:
The competition must reach 5 entries to qualify for an award.
5 to 9 questions entered equals one Silver award valued at $3 to the top question.
10 to 19 questions entered equals one Gold award valued at $5 to the top question.
20 to 29 questions entered equals one Gold award valued at $5 for the top question and 2 silver awards valued at $2 each for the second and third top questions.
30 or more questions entered equals one Gold award valued at $10 for the top question, and 2 silver awards valued at $5 each for the second and third top questions.
Award money is split between the author of the question and the top three answers.
Each competition is themed and the themes will be announced on the TVode and Hubgarden forums.
Entries are questions with the appropriate tag, regardless of how many authors there are. So it could be 10 entrants with 10 different questions, or a single entrant with 10 different questions, the prize would be the same.
The winner(s) is based on views as calculated by HG. The winner is chosen by going to Top Hubs, then TVode's Details, then More Stats. The top article listed in the "Top 100 Articles by Recent Views" with the appropriate tag is the winner.
