Is there a sport you prefer to watch on TV than live?

I don't follow Rugby Union, so I have to say, if I watch it, I'd rather on TV because the scrum looks like a bunch of guys standing round (I find myself looking at the screen at the ground to try and see where the ball is).
Car racing can be good on TV if they don't just focus on the lead drivers...but generally speaking, I prefer all sport live if money and time affords it. The crowd and being up close are big draws for me.

Are there some sports that are better on TV?

Some sports are just better on TV, particularly those with a large play area like rugby, hockey and baseball. It's still nice to go to a game every now and then but I'd often rather get an up-close view of the action that comes from a zoom lens.
League. Mostly because it's played at night time in winter and I'd rather watch it warm at home.
Yes - cycling. Somehow you can watch the whole event - not just part of it! ;)
Yeah, I can see that would work...I watch F1, and while I still prefer being there, you get to see the back markers with seconds shown, rather than counting in your head....
