Sketch comedy shows have been the launching ground for many famous comedians and movie stars. None seem to have a better pedigree than Saturday Night Live (Belushi, Akroyd, Chase, Murphy, Hartman, Farley, Fallon, Fey, Wiig....must I go on!).

But, is it the best sketch comedy show of all time?

Can't say I watch it anymore - but it has launched a lot of great comedians/nes. When you watch the best of DVD's, they're still pretty funny, even 20 or 30 years later...
It is awesome that is true but I think Australians should really remember how good Full Frontal was! Remember 'Peater' aka Eric Bana god that was hilarious and what about the character of Con the fruitier and his wife Marika, they were gold!!
"In Lving Colour" was a gem of the 1990's in the US (and gave the world Jim Carrey) but it seems nothing can match the longevity of SNL. The Patrick Swayze eposide is an all time classic.
