Is Aeon Flux the best adult cartoon of it's time?

I loved this series from 1995, it was so cutting edge at the time. I still remember my favourite line "A tumour and an ice cream cone are the same thing to a dead man".

The film made later failed in capturing the charm of the cartoon.

Did you watch it? Do you agree that it was way ahead of anything else at the time, as sophisticated adult cartoon series?

I've never heard of this series. How long did it run for?
Since I was only five when it started, it is not surprising I have never seen it, since it is an adult animation.
Just ten episodes....
No wonder I never saw it.
There were a couple of different versions of it. One was a short film cut into smaller episodes (only a couple of minutes each) in which Aeon never speaks, where she sneaks into Trevor's base. Then there were a bunch of short episodes, also non speaking, where she gets killed every time. Then there was the series with the longer (half hour) eps which actually have a (sometimes confusing) plot.

Yes, I liked it. Trevor Goodchild was an interesting character and some of the episodes had a sort of fairytale feel to them. I don't think I'd call it the best adult cartoon though. I think I might give that honour to Daria or Archer.
I've not seen Archer - I'd take Aeon over Daria tho....(though I like Daria too).
Yes! I loved Aeon Flux!
