Can you still enjoy a television show if you don't like the presenter hosting? I'm talking about programmes such as Autumn Watch Country File, chat shows, quiz shows, talent contests, etc. If the contents is good, but the host annoying, will you still watch it, or is their personality what makes the show?

It depends how prominent the host is. If they are on screen most of the time, then I think they are vital to the show's success; if they only pop up to make an announcement and move things along, then I can live with them being annoying.
For me, the host is pretty damn important. If I don't like a host, I won't watch the show - unless, the show is hosted by several personalities.

Definitely for me the host is VERY important.

We have one host that I cannot stand, and I just will not watch any of the shows he hosts as he drives me crazy with just about everything he does, his facial expressions and his falseness.

So, YES, very important who hosts a show. Also the talent shows etc -some of them I used to watch because I liked the hosts, though am now sick of all this type of reality show.

For me it all depends on how prominent the host is in the show, and what the show is about. If the host is rarely shown, and the content is interesting, then I can handle a bad host.
It is hard to watch a show if you cannot stand the host. There is 1 show I would have liked to watch at 6 PM but I cannot stand the host. He is too try hard, overacting and fake.
The host makes the show for me, if I don't like the host, I won't enjoy the show.
The host is of vital importance as he/she is the driving force behind the program. Deal or no Deal, was for me a great show but the host (cannot remember his name and not sure if he still presents it) was a major turn off through irritatingly bad jokes/puns.
