Spitting Image was a British puppet satirical sketch show made in the 1980s/90s. It took the piss out of politicians, celebrities, and other TV personalities with grotesque caricatures, and focussed on current topical issues.

Now ITV has made Newzoids, which is essentially a reboot, only featuring politicians and personalities that feature in today's headlines. There are going to be six episodes, with the first two already having aired. The main focus of the series is on the 2015 general election.

I have been watching, and am really enjoying it, but I wasn't around/old enough to see Spitting Image. For those of you who have had the opportunity to watch both, how do you think Newzoids compares?

Are you enjoying the show? Who is your favourite puppet/character? Do you have a favourite sketch?

I think the puppets of Milliband and Garage look the best, but my two favourite sketches were one of David Cameron getting a takeaway at a drive thru burger king (carried in on a throne), and a song about the SNP to the tune of The Proclaimers 500 Miles.
I thought it was quite poor really. I enjoyed it for all of 5mins and then it just got a bit lame
