Mythological vampires of literature history such as Bram Stoker's Dracula have awoken us to the genre of horror.

Whether you are a fan of new age horror or not, or are an avid vampire hater, or maybe a werewolf (their natural enemies), have you watched a vampire themed show? And if so, what was it?

What do you think about the visual representation and harmonic or dis-harmonic dynamics between humans and these creatures?

Is it all too soppy, and not enough blood sucking action?

I've watched quite a few vampire shows and for the most part I tend to like them. Angel was probably my favourite, followed by True Blood, although the last season I watched headed in a direction I found rather boring; I think I might even be a season behind now. I've also watched all of Buffy and some of the Vampire Diaries. Oh, and I almost forgot Being Human, which I would highly recommend, if you haven't seen it. Being Human is about a vampire and a werewolf who move into a house together with the intention of living as normal, as human, a life as possible. It's pretty good.
I haven't watched a show specifically focussing on vampires, but I have watched shows that include vampires in some of their episodes. I've watched Charmed, which is about three sister witches fighting evil, and there are a few episodes with vampires in. I have also watched a bit of Sanctuary, which has a vampire character that appears every now and then.

I like vampires, but not the teenage Twilight kind.
I used to love the Groovy Ghoulies as a kid, does that count? I don't get the romance vampire thing...
Same, there's more to vampires than just their love lives!

Not since Buffy the Vampire Slayer .. that was a great show!
I really enjoyed Moonlight and have watched the first seasons of True Blood, Vampire Diaries, though have since lost interest. My eldest daughter introduced me to American version of Being Human, which I really enjoyed to, but haven't watched past the first season.

I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer and also loved the spin-off Angel. Saw every episode.
'Ultraviolet'....fantastic! First tv show Idris Elba was in. Also starred Caroline Harker, Corin Redgrave & John ?
