Extant was recently launched in Australia, and I tuned into the first episode to see what this new sci fi drama was all about. Did you catch it?

Briefly put, this is the tale of Molly Woods, a US astronaut who comes back to Earth after a year long solo mission in Outer space, pregnant. In the background of the story is context of Molly's previous inability to get pregnant, with her husband designing an artificial intelligence to join their family; a son called Ethan. Throw in some intrigue, that something obviously happened out there in outer space, and a 'deceased' colleague might know the secret, and you've got a number of reasons to tune in for the next episode.

This is the first I've heard of it, but it sounds like it could be a good show.
I am so annoyed -wanted to watch this one, so set my recorder to record it, went to bed, and by habit, turned off the TV at the plug!

Am having trouble getting the channel on my new smart TV -i think it is not so smart -anyway I missed the first one, sadly.

I watched it, and am definitely intrigued by it. I'm hoping that with such a good cast and concept that the acting and drama stay high quality, as so often after the initial few episodes you lose interest and just don't care one way or another.
It really shows promise.
