Sexy Beasts is a dating show with a twist. To encourage them to get to judge each other on their personalities rather than looks all the contestants wear makeup and prosthetics to disguise them as various mythical creatures The first episode saw a lizard woman and some sort of alien competing for the affections of a dog man. You watch them go on dates while the host of the show makes sarcastic remarks via voiceover. Sexy Beasts originally aired on BBC3 and is currently being shown on ABC2 in Australia.

I haven't seen or heard of it before, but I am aware of a similar show called Where the Wild Things Are, in which contestants dress up in animal costumes and can't see anything, while performing tasks in the wood.
I'm hooked on this show. It's weird and funny and some of the makeup is very impressive. It looks like it may be done by some of the same people that work on Doctor Who.
I've never seen it or heard of it. I'm not really into "reality TV" so I probably wouldn't get into this sort of show, although the concept is certainly interesting!
Sounds like a good idea, but I have never heard of it....
