A lot of TV programmes, such as quizzes and chat shows are filmed with a live audience. Have you ever been in the audience of a TV show?

No, there are no shows filmed close enough, let alone any that have audiences. If I did live near a studio with a show that I was interested in, I'd go.
I put my name down on a ballot for The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice. I got chosen, but they over allocate in case of no shows. After queuing for an hour, I was told there was no more room.
Yes I have many, many years ago and it was a quiz show.

It was quite amazing as it looks totally different to how it looks in the finished version.

The studio was tiny, and it didnt ever strike me as being small when the show was on.

I found it quite exciting at the time, however it is probably not something I would do again.

No, but I would like to. Insight and QI first come to mind.

Yes I have been in plenty. Nearly every live studio show that has been made in Melbourne, with the exception of Countdown which really annoys me to this date. I have even been in the audience of 3 shows in the USA. The latest being only 2 years ago seeing David Letterman live New York. It was such a dream of mine.
I've been an audience member for The Project. It's free and good fun if you live in Melbourne.

No sadly not.
I'm a tad shy, and that has really stopped me from going.
I would think it would be a lot of fun.
No but I'd love to. They don't film anything in Brisbane unfortunately.
Yes! I have been in the audience for the Gruen Transfer and it was really interesting to see how much gets cut out of the final show! I also went to some tapings of Big Brother a million years ago when it was first starting out. The tricks they used to get the crowd yelling and screaming were pretty interesting - they had a comedian telling jokes between takes and giving prizes away to people who yelled and screamed the most for the cameras.
Like, YEARS & YEARS ago, I was in the 'Romper Room' audience! My friend was taking her daughter (who's now about 45 years old!) to 1 of the last tapings of the show. And the other 1 was Ray Martin's mid-day show. I was in a mini bus, about to leave the carpark, after the taping of the show, & he walked past the window of the bus, so I spoke to him & took a photo out the window of the bus! I used to work with 1 of his sisters, in the last job I had before our 1st daughter was born. (Ray's sister still lives in the next suburb to me.)
