I had big expectations of the Aaron Sorkin drama that opened as a political drama but in the first season, seemed to be more of a soap opera. I decided to stop watching, but on a plane was lured into the second season, which I'm really enjoying now on DVD.
Did you watch it, and what did you think?

I totally loved the show watched all 3 seasons, it is over now. And in a way I am glad it is the kind of show that didn't need to go on anymore. Wish other shows knew when to stop. I am not an Aaron Sorkin fan but was hooked on it from the first episode. Although like many was a little disapointed with the finale. But doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the whole series. The acting absolutely amazing!
Yes! OMG yes I loved the Newsroom. I get what you mean about the soap opera elements of it, but the political and social commentary has kept me captivated by the show. Sorkin's style is very focused on personal relationships so I suppose it is to be expected, but imagine how powerful the show could be without all the he loves her stuff. I wonder if it would be better or worse then.
