Family Guy has been around over a decade now, and has already been renewed by Fox for a 2017 series. When it first came out, Family Guy was edgy, shocking, and sometimes downright offensive, all in the name of humour. After so many seasons, they still hang on the same comedic style. Has that style grown old for you? Do you still find Family Guy funny, even after all these years?

I still love Family Guy. I haven't watched it in ages, but I still see new skits on facebook and love it. I'm hoping to binge watch it from start to finish one day, probably not anytime soon, but one day.
I watched it almost religiously as a teenager, I guess fuelled by the danger element of watching something which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Returning to it in my late 20s, I feel it's lost that allure for me.
I'm not against humour which could be considered offensive. Great comedians like Chris Morris and Stewart Lee have pushed their material pretty close to the line, with hilarious results. But there needs to be a reason for this; something more than just being shocking for the sake of it. Family Guy does do that from time to time, but there is an undercurrent of nastiness to it which gets in the way of the humour a little bit too often.
