I don't know about Australia, but the UK has tons of panel shows that satirise current affairs or discuss funny and fascinating facts. There are also ones that are just pure nonsense, such as Would I Lie to You? Do you watch comedy panels? Do you have a favourite panelist?
Yes. I was a big fan of Spicks and Specks and Good News Week back when it had Paul McDermott and Julie Macrossin. The Glass House was also good fun. I don't really watch any at the moment though.
We have one in Canada called This Hour has 22 Minutes, and it's only partly a panel, it's more like a sketch comedy that focuses on current affairs. I rarely watch it but every now and then This Hour comes up with something that is just really funny.
I love them, sadly we do not have much on Aussie t.v.
Different audiences I think....I know a few years ago, you could look forward to having a laugh, now not much there. :(
Yes. They are great. And we have a great tradition of them in Australia - don't know what that person jonaj is talking about? The Project is fantastic sure it's not just comedy but thats also why it is so good.
