Do you have the tv on while you cook?

I've been known to cook and watch/listen but I don't make a regular habit of it. I often opt for music while cooking over anything else.

No, I like peace and quiet so I can concentrate when cooking. I also don't have a TV in the kitchen.

My kids are usually watching TV while I'm cooking dinner. I don't think I've ever listened to a show at all. I also prefer the quiet or will sometimes listen to my ipod while I cook.

I know my mother-in-law does this, but I enjoy the quiet. Besides, it saves power.

I listen to it, occasionally try to dash into the lounge to see what is happening, but often miss the best bits. Very frustrating!

i doesnt like to watch TV. while cooking, it divery my mind. i want calm and peace so that give more attention and have tasty food.

Our tv’s in the next room, but I can hear the news sometimes while I’m cooking, & I dash in to see the ‘Millionaire’ & the last 5 mins of Family Feud’ & usually we start eating when ‘Currant Affair' starts. My eldest daughter has her laptop on, & watches her iview, shows, & does this every night, if no one in in the kitchen talking to her at the same time. (e.g visitors! (They haven’t had a t.v since their 1st daughter was born. A lovely idea!)
