When I was younger, indulging in soap magazines such as TV Soap and Soap World was one of my guilty pleasures. I liked knowing what was going to happen on my favourite soaps and enjoyed the anticipation of plot twists and scandals.
Now though, flipping through the pages of a soap magazine at the checkout is sufficient for me. Do you purchase soap magazines? Why or why not?
I enjoy reading them very occasionally, however I would probably not buy one -I thinkl I have only ever bought two and that was while I was watching the Bold and The beautiful some years ago, and was going away, and wanted to know what was happening.
Silly part is, some 10 years later I could still pick up the story and some of the same characters -which shows what a soapie it is!
So, no i would not waste money on this type of magazine as it is basically trash and full of probable untruths.
I've never been interested in these sorts of magazines. For one, I don't like soaps. I used to subscribe/ buy Star Trek and Stargate magazines, but I'm no longer interested in finding out about the latest, and since the shows stopped, there's not much point anymore.
I used to collect these when I was in my early teens. That was when I first started watching the Bold and the Beautiful. I was obsessed, and often couldn't wait to get my hands on the latest gos. LOL! These days, I prefer not knowing what's going to happen next. I just realised that this my own question. Oops.
No I don't but they are always in drs' waiting rooms to flick through if you feel the need.
The only magazine I buy now is The Big Issue, if I am where someone is selling them. I know my $ goes to helping the seller, and the articles suit my
outlook on life.
