'I may not have any self-respect, but at least I have a shoe line', http://tenplay.com.au

Rick has told Ali he will consider launching her shoe line. In the meantime, Rick is ordering Aly around like a maid - having her fetch him snacks and breakfast in bed, and instructing her to give Maya a foot rub.

In an attempt to please Rick and kick start her career, Aly has obliged the Forrester heir and effectively kissed her self-respect away.

Should Aly tell Rick to 'shove it' or continue to bend at his every whim in order to launch her career?

Ali's character and her dynamics have certainly changed from when she first appeared and threatened to axe Taylor or battle Wyatt - considering they were both heralded as the devils in carnate in her eyes.. Is she as manic as Rick? Perhaps; but you would think with the amount of pushing and self degradation that Rich has put onto Ali that she would have snapped by now and told him to shove it or in the very least thrown a martini into his face. Or perhaps this is what the writers are gearing towards that she will eventually snap regardless of her shoe line. Surely Thorne or Darla's spiritual head need to pay Ali a visit to help sort her shoe line out and Rick. It just doesn't make any sense (and yes it is a soap) that her character has turned like this - if she started the show off in this manner it would make sense that she would do everything possible to kickstart her shoe line.
Annalisa, I am with you in the respect that Ali's character has undergone an unbelievable change. Perhaps you're right: perhaps it's only a matter of time before she snaps back to her old self.

Tell him to shove it, of course!

Ali needs to step up and reclaim her self-respect. What the hell is she doing allowing Rick to take the mickey out of her like that?!
