Are you excited about the return of The X-Files?

Oh man, I can't wait to see the new X-files! I truly hope this mini series is the start of something longer for the X-files, even if it's a new cast. The closest thing to the X-files on right now Orphan Black, which is very very different. TV is sorely missing a sci-fi investigative show.

Have you seen Sanctuary? It's a little similar, and Amanda Tapping is brilliant in it.

I hope so too. David Duchovny said he was definitely up for doing more episodes, but wasn't sure if either he or Gillian wanted to go back to doing full seasons, so we'll have see what happens.

Honestly, The X Files has freaked me out ever since I was a child. My sister and I would watch it when our mum went out, and then we'd be too scared to sleep. Perhaps I will have a look at it, but I can't make any promises.

I have been watching The X-Files with my dad since I was 7, and enjoyed every moment. It is meant to freak you out a bit, but that is part of what makes it so great.

No, I am actually NOT excited!
As I have said a few times, I generally do not like sequel type things with the exception of Dr Who.

They cannot be the same so many years later and I actually think this will spoil the memory, if that makes sense!

I agree with dgrwriting on TV missing a sci-fi investigative show, however I would far rather see a brand new one with new actors, not aging original actors!

I've been watching a lot of sneak previews and Chris Carter and everyone involved have stayed very true to what has gone before. It is going to be a natural progression rather than messing with a working formula.

Very much so. I was a big fan and I'm interested to see what they will do with it now.

There are meant to be two mythology episodes and four stand alone so, so very similar to the format from earlier seasons.

I have been waiting 14 years for this! I am so excited. I am a bit nervous about the return of CSM and the Lonegunmen though. Not sure how they are going to bring them back from the dead.

Nope, no interest at all, as never saw first batch.

But I thought Gillian Anderson acted marvellously in BBC's 'Bleak House'.
